TUTORING MY FRIEND
This week, I spent time tutoring my friend in a subject they were struggling with. We went over concepts step by step, and I tried to explain things in a clear and supportive way. Helping my friend understand the material was rewarding, especially when I saw their confidence improve as we worked through the problems together.
This experience connects to CAS outcomes such as service, communication, and collaboration. Tutoring required patience and adaptability, as I had to adjust my explanations to suit my friend’s learning style. It also helped strengthen my own understanding of the subject. Overall, the experience showed me how supporting others academically can be a meaningful form of service while building stronger relationships.
