LEARNING A NEW DANCE

This week, I spent time learning a new dance. Since I’ve stopped doing ballet, it felt good to challenge my body in a different way and reconnect with movement. Learning the choreography took focus and practice, especially when trying to remember the steps and timing, but it was also enjoyable and motivating. As I practiced more, I started to feel more confident and comfortable with the routine, which made the experience rewarding.

This experience connects to CAS outcomes such as perseverance, self-confidence, and well-being. Learning a new dance pushed me out of my comfort zone and reminded me that progress takes patience and consistency. It also helped me stay active and maintain flexibility, which is important to me after leaving ballet. Overall, the experience showed me how creative physical activities can support personal growth and both mental and physical health.
