STRETCHING ROUTINE
Since I recently quit ballet, I decided to continue doing regular stretching to keep my body flexible and strong. Even though I’m no longer training the same way, stretching still feels familiar and comforting, like carrying a piece of ballet with me. It was calming to take the time to focus on my body, notice where I felt tension, and give myself the chance to move more freely.
This connects to CAS outcomes of awareness of well-being and perseverance. Stretching reminded me that I can still care for my health and maintain the habits I built through ballet, even if I’ve stepped away from formal training. It was also reflective, since I thought about how important it is to hold onto the positive parts of past experiences and bring them into new routines.
