HELPING MY SISTER

This week I helped my 9-year-old sister with her homework. She was struggling with a few tasks, so we sat down together, and I guided her through them step by step. It was a sweet experience because I got to see how she thinks and learns, and it also reminded me how different school feels at her age compared to mine. I tried to make it fun and encouraging so she wouldn’t get frustrated.

This connects to CAS outcomes of collaboration and empathy. Helping her required patience and the ability to explain things in a simple way, which is not always easy. It also made me reflect on how important it is to support others and how teaching someone else can strengthen my own understanding. It felt meaningful to be there for her and to share time together in a positive way.
