PILATES SESSION

This week I tried Pilates as a way to focus on both strength and flexibility. The exercises were slower and more controlled than what I’m used to, but I quickly realized how challenging they can be. Holding steady positions and paying attention to my breathing made the workout both physical and mindful, and I finished feeling stretched, centered, and calm.

This activity connects to CAS outcomes of awareness of well-being and commitment. Pilates reminded me of the importance of balance—building strength while also taking care of my body and mind. It also encouraged reflection, since I noticed how focusing on posture and breathing can improve not just exercise but daily life. It was a refreshing and meaningful way to take care of myself.
