Ceramic painting

This week, I spent an afternoon painting ceramic pots and plates with my friend and her mom at a local studio. It was such a relaxing and joyful experience. As soon as I started painting, I was reminded of how much I loved doing ceramics back in primary school. Reconnecting with that childhood passion felt nostalgic and meaningful—it was like giving a small gift to my younger self. We laughed, shared ideas, and enjoyed the calm atmosphere of the studio. There was no pressure to make anything perfect; it was all about being creative and having a good time together.

This activity helped me engage with several CAS learning outcomes. I demonstrated creativity by designing unique patterns and experimenting with colors and techniques. Painting alongside others also supported collaboration and communication, as we offered feedback, exchanged ideas, and helped each other throughout the session. Most importantly, I became more aware of how important it is to reconnect with the things that bring us happiness. It reminded me that CAS isn't just about doing—it’s about rediscovering what makes us feel inspired and balanced.
