Volunteering at Juozas Statkevičius’s Fashion Show

Recently, I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer at Juozas Statkevičius’s fashion show. It was such a unique experience, and I was thrilled because attending a fashion show has always been a dream of mine. Even though I was working, I’m so happy that this dream came true. Meeting Juozas Statkevičius was an honor since I’m a big fan of his work.

During the event, I helped with various tasks. One of the most challenging ones was encoding a list of guests written in very bad handwriting. I also got to observe how everything runs behind the scenes at a fashion show, from organizing the event to the final moments before the show started. It was incredible to see the hard work and creativity that goes into making everything look flawless.

Through this experience, I achieved several CAS learning outcomes. I undertook new challenges by stepping into an unfamiliar environment and learning how fashion events are organized behind the scenes. I identified areas for growth by practicing patience and attention to detail while completing tasks like decoding the handwritten guest list. Additionally, I recognized the benefits of collaboration, as I worked with others to ensure the show ran smoothly.

This experience not only fulfilled a personal dream but also taught me new skills and gave me insight into the effort and teamwork that goes into creating such an elegant event.
