Preparing for the Winter Ballet Recital
Now that the ballet competition is over, we’ve started getting ready for our winter recital. This week, we tried on the costumes we’ll wear for our new dance, which made everything feel more exciting and real. I still need to practice the new dance because there are a few mistakes I make while performing it. It’s a challenging piece, but I’m working hard to improve my technique and memorize the choreography. With more rehearsals and focus, I know I can get it right in time for the recital. Preparing for this recital is a rewarding process, and I’m excited to see how much progress we’ll make by the performance day!
Through this experience, I achieved several CAS learning outcomes. I identified my strengths and areas for growth by noticing the parts of the dance I perform well and the sections where I need more practice. I also demonstrated perseverance and commitment by continuing to rehearse and refine the new choreography. Additionally, I recognized the benefits of collaboration, as my classmates and I are working together to bring the dance to life as a group.
