Back to Ballet: Preparing for My Final Exam

This year, one of my key CAS activities is continuing my ballet lessons, which I attend four times a week. Last year, I was proud to score 10/10 on my ballet history exam, and this year, I’m focusing on the next part of my 7-year program: performing for my final exam. My goal is to earn a high final mark and successfully complete the seven years of ballet training, receiving my diploma.

This week has been especially challenging as I’m coming back from the summer break and haven’t quite regained my full strength and flexibility yet. However, I’m determined to push through and improve with each lesson.

Through this activity, I’m working toward several CAS learning outcomes. I’m demonstrating perseverance and commitment by sticking to my regular ballet schedule, even when it’s tough to get back into shape. I’m also developing new skills, such as refining my technique and preparing for my performance exam, which will be crucial for my final goal. Ballet also challenges me to set and work towards long-term goals, like achieving my diploma, which requires dedication, focus, and consistent effort throughout the year.
